Epiphany House joins New Hope Foundation as a subsidiary of New Hope

“The match is a natural,” said Dr. Tony Comerford, New Hope’s CEO. “New Hope and Epiphany have been partners in caring for women with substance use disorders and helping them to successfully care for their children since Epiphany’s founding in 1986.”

Comerford went on to say that “The decision to bring the two companies together was “…guided by both Boards agreeing on common objectives to: improve productivity during these difficult economic times, find ways to serve more people in need and continue to strive to get the best results.”

Both organizations have been considering the potential benefits of joining the two corporations for more than a year and ultimately came to the overwhelming conclusion that the marriage of the two would result in significant benefits to the operation and mission fulfillment of both.

To move this process forward in the most efficient manor, the Boards of both companies agreed to have New Hope Foundation assume full management responsibility for Epiphany House by making Epiphany a subsidiary corporation. While both corporations remain separate corporate entities, they are both guided by the same Board of Trustees and Executive Management.

“We are thrilled with this development,” said Art Ryan, the former Chairman of Epiphany’s Board of Trustees and a New Hope Foundation Trustee. “We have already realized some productivity improvements and cost savings, and are excited about the program linkages and enhancements planned for that will help us serve more in need and get better results.”

The Epiphany House mission “to promote recovery and self-sufficiency of chemically-dependant women, and women with children who are homeless or in danger of homelessness” will remain unchanged and there is no expectation that services will be disrupted at any time. The union links Epiphany to New Hope’s full network of addiction treatment services that provide for comprehensive detoxification, and residential and outpatient services for adults and adolescents from New Jersey.
