Our Mission

Epiphany House is committed to promoting recovery for chemically dependent women with children, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Epiphany House provides a continuum of health care and social services. During a stay, lasting from three to eight months, each resident is assisted to become firmly established in sobriety and to define for herself who she is, where and how she will live, and what she will do to create and maintain a self affirming life.

Epiphany House takes special care of its youngest residents. While mothers have primary responsibility for their children, Epiphany House provides the children with their own case manager and “plan for progress.” This plan aims at healing the wounds of addiction, neglect, and or abuse that the children may have suffered. The child care program fosters personal development and social skills and guiding these children toward educational success.

Epiphany House accomplishes its mission by providing:

  • Addiction Treatment and Relapse environment
  • Individual, Group, and Family Counseling
  • Parenting Instruction
  • Life Skills and Basic Education
  • Health Assessment and Promotion
  • Case Management
  • Early Intervention Services for Children
  • On-Site Computer Instruction
  • Referral to Community Resources
  • Legal Assistance
  • Transitional, supportive housing

Graduates of Epiphany House have been remarkably successful in maintaining an alcohol and drug-free life style. We are convinced that such success results from a comprehensive approach that addresses the issue of poverty, abuse, and homelessness which, if left untreated, contribute to relapse.
